barrier island on the Atlantic coast. Folly Beach is located just
eight miles south of historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina,

restaurants and night-life Charleston promises. The short drive to
Charleston adds to the appeal of Folly Beach, which consists of
predominately residential housing, limited business, and several
miles of walking beach.

Fishing Pier extends more than 1,045 feet into the Atlantic Ocean
with a covered area and access to nearby restrooms, gift shops,
restaurants and tackle shop.
Folly Beach County Park fronts 4,000 feet of ocean and 2,000 feet of
river. It offers parking, dressing rooms, outdoor showers,
restrooms, a picnic area, a vending area and chair, raft and
umbrella rentals. The park is located at the west end of Folly
Beach.
The Folly Beach Washout offers the best surfing within 100 miles.
